Growing up, I seem to struggle more and more with insomnia and unhappiness. I lay still aching awake wondering when I will finally get an ounce of shut eye.
I had been so use to receiving four, maybe five hours of sleep a night that I became terribly miserable 24/7 towards everyone around me. I pushed them away so I didn’t have to deal with their problems as well as mine.
I discovered the glorious lifestyle of Veganism when I was searching online for my last hope of self-happiness. Ecstatically, I found out that Veganism has hundreds of benefits!
- Disease prevention, boosts immunity ( Breast cancer, Type 2 Diabetes, Arthritis, etc.)
Diseases such as cancer refers to the multiplications of abnormal cells that promote unhealthy reproductions and growths. Being vegan (plant-based diet) are overflowing with antioxidants that will support the body more rapidly to fight off unhealthy cells such as cancer. They support the body because they care clean, they contain no cholesterol or processed ingredients.
- Healthy skin, hair and nails
“According to an article in Health magazine, the zinc found in beans combats zits and decreases inflammation, preventing redness and pimples.” Some powerful antioxidants that can improve your overall appearance is nuts and seeds, they contain large amounts of vitamin E. Not only does eating a diet of just plants promise to lower your cholesterol and make your skin look positively glow-y, but its devotees carry a certain aura of righteousness, according to Sarah Elizabeth Richards of Health Magazine.
- Boosts energy levels
Energy levels are not only boosted for daily activities but also for the more intimate parts of the day. Meats take more time to digest and provide a more consistent source of energy and protein but makes you feel lethargic.
- Less body odor and no bad breath
Bacteria flourish to consume proteins and fats, so meat eaters and their waste produces a yucky smell. Red meat also causes toxins that are flushed into the blood stream and intestines that ultimately end coming out of our pores.
- Live longer!
Several studies indicate that those following a vegan or vegetarian diet will live an average of three to six years longer than those who do not.
Veganism can promote many benefits including living longer.. I don’t know about you but who wouldn’t want to live longer.
