Let’s just start by saying, gosh dang that feature image looks so yummy I want to chew on my computer screen.

Face the facts, plain toast is no longer the rage, sweet potato toast? Now that sounds adventurous. It hits the sweet spots in all the right places for an appetizing breakfast or snack.

FIRST- Grab the biggest sweet potatoes you can find

SECOND- Vertically slice your sweet potatoes into 1/4-inch-thick slices. Don’t make them too thick, they won’t get cooked all through. Nobody like a raw potato covered in god knows what you’ll create!

THIRD-  Turn the toaster all the way up to high and toast the sweet potato slices for 2-3 rounds or about 5 minutes. OR Oven bake your slices for about 15 minutes on 350 degrees, continue baking until you are satisfied. ( check by stabbing with a fork, if it comes out with ease, they are more than ready!)

TIP- You can keep extra slices in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to one week. Just heat them up again in the toaster.

FOURTH- Grab an ooey gooey condiment to hold your toppings:

Some options that are yummy to try:

-peanut butter and jelly

-cream cheese

-avocado

-butter

-vegan honey

Smear that baby on top of the sweet potato in a thin layer so it’s not to over powering

NEXT: Pick your toppings!

This is my favorite part, you can mix and match whatever your taste buds desire.

Some options:
